Press Release
For Immediate Release
20th January 2015
JETCAM will be showcasing the latest version of its award-winning CrossTrack and Expert software systems at booth M35, JEC Composites, Porte de Versailles, Paris, from 10th to 12th March 2015.
CrossTrack 3 is now suitable for composite and sheet metal manufacturing processes, so customers serving the aerospace sector that cut using a variety of cutting technologies such as sonic knife, waterjet, laser, punch or router can benefit from a single platform designed to handle the differences of each manufacturing process. CrossTrack provides complete traceability for material, material life, plies, kits, orders and nests - all in real time. It includes enhancements to the overall interface with new controls to allow faster relevant information retrieval, such as tooltips that also include thumbnail images. CrossTrack 3 includes a nest allocation display, covering both composite and sheet metal, detailing the relationship between jobs to be cut and material to be used. Staff can see the physical material in stock and can also identify how much is already allocated to other jobs.
Hundreds of additional updates across the entire CrossTrack suite have been included, such as:
JETCAM Expert v18 includes a new user interface, which draws much of its styling from CrossTrack and is designed specifically to reduce mouse travel during operation. All file management and tabular data views have been improved with new controls, and general performance enhancements have been made throughout the interface. JETCAM has further enhanced its optional high performance nesting module. In addition to further improvements to nesting efficiency it now also takes advantage of multi-threading. With multi-core processors coupled with hyperthreading often including up to 16 usable cores this delivers much more efficient nests in a fraction of the time. Completely re-written from the ground up, JETCAM’s new Advanced Reports will be the standard engine that drives reporting across the entire product range. It benefits from a major interface overhaul, bringing it in line with other products.
Said Martin Bailey, General Manager of JETCAM International s.a.r.l.; “With these latest releases we are continuing to accelerate, de-skill and demystify the composite manufacturing process, with the CAM and nesting process now completely automatic, and delivering full traceability from delivery of the material through to autoclave. Companies both small and large can take advantage of this and get immediate payback by freeing up staff, reducing paperwork required for traceability, not to mention improving machine runtime and material efficiency.”
CrossTrack 3 and JETCAM Expert v18 are available now and are free to existing customers with a current maintenance contract.
