For Immediate Release
21st October 2002
JETCAM/ will be demonstrating new versions of the Group’s entire range of CADCAM products on the JETCAM stand (Hall 7 D14) at Euroblech, Hannover and the JETCAM Americas stand (#8031) at the Fabtech International exhibition in Cleveland, Ohio from 29th to 31st October 2002.
JETCAM’s flagship product, JETCAM Expert v14 for punching and profiling machines, has recently undergone substantial development work, much of which is related to supporting advanced laser technologies. JETCAM will be showcasing some of the new and forthcoming modules on the stand, including common line cutting, head avoidance, intelligent lead-ins and mass skeletal destruction. JETCAM Expert also benefits from a new addition to its ‘skinable’ interface engine, with a new streamlined metallic interface together with numerous enhancements to the CAD and CAM features lists.
JETCAM will also be launching new versions of its supporting products.
JC_Explorer is a new addition to the JETCAM range and is a powerful utility for use throughout a network where users may need to view or convert files. Working in a familiar way to most users it allows quick and easy viewing of most standard CAD and JETCAM file formats together with quick conversion to other CAD formats (e.g. to/from DWG) and to graphic formats such as BMP and JPG – ideal for emailing to users without CAD viewing capabilities. Available as freeware LITE version and Professional version.
JETCAM Orders Controller (J.O.C.) is the successor to JETCAM’s freeware Mini-PPS product and simplifies the creation of orders for single components and assemblies stored within JETCAM Expert. J.O.C. allows existing JETCAM users to extend the functionality of their system through three modes of operation. These allow the user to work either in a basic model, global mode or multi-system synchronised mode. It also includes several of the features included in jcExplorer.
JET-Term DNC is a terminal program that allows the easy and reliable transfer of NC programs to your machines. Now in version 6, it benefits from several interface enhancements. It is available in two formats – Standard and JETCAM Enhanced (providing additional integration to JETCAM and ability to view JETCAM jobsheets and nesting files).
The Camtek range of PEPS products (Camtek is a part of the JETCAM Group of companies) will also be on display, showcasing their latest multi axis laser products – PentaCut and TubeCut. Version 5 takes a more ‘solid’s approach and reduces programming time in some cases by hours using features such as automatic fixture generation (PentaCut) and standard libraries of parts and shapes (TubeCut).
A demo CD containing information, videos and demos of the complete range will be available on the stand.
